..AND a blinking icon or somthing in your signature that tells people that you have gotten a new item in your lists.

Imaging clicking on this icon in someones signature. This brings you to the listsection in this persons profile.
Here you can see what projects the person is working on.(Projectlist)
You can see the person are searching for some special information or software that he/she hasnt been able to find themself(Searchlist)
Then you see the person needs help to solve some problem, and her he is advertising requests for help to this(Need help to this list)
And here you see (Your own suggestion you made in this thread for how to make this list -list)

This idea came to mi mind after wondering about filling my signature with links to a lot of things I need help to.
This is programs I am searching for, questions I have, suggestions like this so people can find my suggestions in ubbdev, and a lot of other things.
I realised that this signature would have been way tooooooooo big.

So this is my idea to make this possible without filling kilobytes with information in your signature.

Is this a good idea to a mod, are there someone able to make it?

You could basically use the Custom User Fields for the profile. That would make it really easy. And then you could hardcode a thing so that the icon is always in someones profile.

Understand what you mean, but will not give the possibilities and options I think of. If it should be any point of making such a mod, people looking at it must be able to submit answers to it...almost like a privat profile discussion thread or somewhat connected/related to the PM section of ones profile...and that you cant do just by enabeling custom fields.
I am talking about a much more complicated mod here.

if you ever plan on upgrading your ubb ever again, this hack would not be a good idea. Believe me, I've tried adding extra profile fields to my ubb (and not through the cp), then upgrading. It wasn't exactly a beautiful sight if you know what I mean.

Although, it is not a bad idea. I'd try this myself, but it looks like it would be quite a complex adventure. (Who knows, I might ;))
