Some hackers to try login from DOS or Windows with this url .../cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=login.
My idea is to record the ip number on 3 try to login in.
In my forum a hacker have try 2650 times to login in and i ndon´t have the IP of them.

Is to possible to record the IP?

in ubb_lib_2.cgi:

find:

&StandardHTML("$vars_wordlets_err{invalid_password}");

add above:


that'll record every failed login attempt, in the format:
IP address // attempted username // attempted password // time // date
in the file login_log.cgi in your members directory.

Then look through that file for consecutive IPs / usernames.
