They verify a license because unfortunately some people do this really stupid thing called pirating software. If those dumb pirates really want access to the hacks, those dumb pirates really ought to think about purchasing a real license, because then they wouldn't have any trouble getting the cool hacks.  Yes, it is a slight inconvenience to those of us nice people who did the smart thing and purchased a license from Infopop, but the inconvenience is only very minor compared to the benefit of having a license and thus having access to the really cool hacks.  ---Skorpion

Now, chances are that you don't really have a license, and therefore can not get the code in the first place.........

Ok I understand now. I used to have a licence very long time ago and now I am just using my old version from before my licence had expired. It's a shame that I can't have access to such wonderful addons even thought I have a licence and my version installed at http://www.sastudio.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi take care.

Contact qasic and try and prove to him you used to have a license and maybe he will help you. I am not saying he will but I also think that is unfair so he should at least try and understand that.

You're probably thinking, why is this idiot posting for the avatar hack saying he has an old expired licence when he has the newest version.
Well all I'm legit. The reason I have the newest version is a friend gave me the files. When I originally bought the UBB licence it was backi in the 5.0 series.

That is also illegal. The entire purpose of paying for Members Area access is to get the newest version. If you have the newest version without paid-for Members Area access, you are not legit, and are subject to the same actions as if you didn't have a license at all (ie. Infopop having your site shut down and any other legal action that they chose to take). ---Skorpion

And you have 6.5. Hmm... Meanwhile we all pay for access while you skate scott free then whine because you can't get the hacks. Better update before the 1st while the sale is on! I wonder if there is a reward for turning in pirates

Ok Skorpion and everyone. I am sorry for even starting this discussion. I am aware now that I am in the wrong, and I am sorry. I had a licence before and now I see that I should just use my old v5.45. Thanks everyone for informing me of that. I appreciate it you can please ignore this thread or close it. Thank you.
