i saw this on Vbull, and its really neat. basically, it puts a little black bullet on the folder of every topic you have replied in.. is this possible in UBB? it would be really neat and useful... or has it been done? if not, could someone help me make it? shouldent be too hard...

I saw this on Jigga-Master's site. Never got a chance to ask him about it. Was pretty kewl. But he switched to vB so ...

is that hack still around or did he never make it public?

heres what im thinkind of doing if the hack dosent exist. to save on extra images, i want to layer the bullet over the folder icon, by either making the folder the background image or by using layers. as how to find out of you have posted or not, that might be a bit harder and im thinking might slow load times down. i really want to keep this as efficent as possible... if anyone can throw in a hand or a bone, i would be very thankful, as i know nothing about programming these buggers :rolleyes:

looks like 6.1 is gonna be alot differnt so mods wont work on both 6.0 and 6.1 and noone would be stupid enough to do this when 6.1 is so close... looks like im on my own here...

Well he never did. But the more I think about it, it was if you read it or not not replied to. But that would be better in my opinion.

the main idea is so you can keep track of what topics you posted in, like if theres 30 topics you posted in, you can quickly single out those 30 and see (with lastreply) if there are any replies to what you said, so you dont have people waiting 5 days for a response to a question about somthing you posited, but i think this hack could go either way... maybe a CP option to change between posted and read?

I thought this had been done before? Maybe it was for UBB 5xx but this mod sounds very familiar to me.

Put this in your header insert:

A:link {font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;}
A:visited {font-weight: none; text-decoration: none;}


If you put that in there. Any links you haven't visited are bold.

not exactly what i was going for but it will work till i figure it out fully...

Just wait till 6.1.

i dont have a license... nor the money for one. anyway, i have a small list of more important software/hardware i need to update/buy before a UBB license... hence once 6.1 comes out i wont be getting any new hacks most lilky because the code structure is suppose to be alot differnt.

so you are useing a warez verson of ubb?
