i was thinking! and if someone does something bad i would like to "Lock them out" of the board untill the problem is solved! any way to do this?

do you mean the fact that the board is in the maintenance mode and determined persons (e.g. Admins) can enter the board?

ok say i got "Jack" and "Jack" was cussing some people out! soo i want to lock him out of the board till the problem is solved! but i dont wana delete his account or ban his ip! just temparary lock him out of the board!
is this possible?
the lockout message would say something like
"You are currently locked out of the board. Please wait till an admin lets you back in"
or something of that kind

in the control panel, when you search for the user, right next to the option to be an admin, it says "able to post notes?"
just click that to "no"
that's exactly what your trying to do. that's called banning people.

It will stop them from posting under that account. They will still be able to read your forums, just not participate.

to prevent them from reading, just create a .htaccess file and add their IP  Every person banned from my site gets locked out like that
