Is there a hack out there which returns the user to the last page of a topic when they have replied.

I find it annoying when you have multi-page topics that you get taken back to page 1.

also, when you click the link on the main page (where it shows the last post)

Or can someone tell me which files I would need to hack and where I need to look.

...or is there a way to return the user to the screen they clicked 'Reply' from.

ie. a 5 page topic and they choose to quote a user on page 3. They reply and it returns them to page 3 so they can continue reading where they left off.

it's called the "anchor" modification. search for it in the forum below.

Also, it's an integral part of the base code if you upgrade.

Yes but you'll be much better off with safety upgrades and some new features including anchor so you don't have to install it.

It's not that hard, just upload the new files over the old. (Except for variables, only add new ones)
