I went to their site, but i didn't really understand the prices they list. Do I need a license and everything? The only thing I saw that I didn't need was a years worth of support. If that is correct then the total price for a new (no upgrade or anything) UBB (self installation) is around $400 !!!!?
Is this correct?

It's probably $249 for you.
Ofcourse you can use ads, you can do anything you want except removing the copyright info in the bottom of every page
How did you get 5.4 for free, exactly?

Someone told me it was possible to get a veriosn 5 for free and I asked how and then I was given his username and he sent me the files.
