Is it possible (ie is there a hack) so that I can have 2 forums, 1 that admins AND mods can access and another forum which ONLY admins can access!?

I don't see that you need a hack for this, as you should be able to do it using the existing Private Forums features by setting both to Admins, Mods and Authorised users, and then just not grant the moderators access to the Admin only forum.

Nah, that don't work. As soon as I make someone a Moderator, the options 'Forum Permissions For This Member' vanishes.

You might want to check the steps again as I went through them and had success. The mod had access to whichever Forum(s) I designate and could not access the Admin Forum.

Assign a password to this forum. That should do the trick.

But panda is also right. Just open the member-datasheet in CP and uncheck the Admin-Forum. Works fine.

When you restrict a forum to admins/mods, you must update your moderators profiles to grant them access because that permission only allows the mods of the restricted forum to go in.
