I'm sorry if this has been asked before (or if there is a hack out there I haven't found), but I would like to be able to limit the number of pages in threads (let's just say to 100, perhaps 200).
It doesn't seem like it should be too difficult a mod, but I don't know how to do it. Also, would it be possible to have one forum with a certain thread post max and another forum with a different thread post max?
I am using UBB 6.1.0, BTW! (The mod question forum was closed there is why I'm asking here. Sorry 'bout that.)
Thanks!!!

Why do you wish to limit the number of pages?

Well, one example is a "random" thread, in which one person starts it and posts something random, then other people post until it reaches 100, then a mod/admin has to manually close it, which can get to be a hassle. The purpose of this limit in particular is just for fun, because everyone likes to be the one to start the next random thread.
Yeah, I realize this example is silly, but there can be other uses for this feature.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Edit: Er, I suppose either limiting the pages or the post # (the latter might be easier) would work just the same.

Limiting by post number is pretty easy... Though doing it for 6.1.0 may be difficult, as very few use a version that old...

Woo! Do tell! =D Really, though, anything would be helpful.

Anybody? ::bump::
I really don't care what version of the UBB it is; if you can find a way (based on there being a keyword, such as "random" in the thread title, or even using a checkbox on/off in the first post of a thread) for there to be only 100 posts in a thread, I would *really* appreciate it, and if it's not for the UBB version I have, I may be able to figure it out in mine anyway, with help...

I'm not sure about 6.1 but try this:

I'm sure you could come up with a better error. And replace the 100 with your limit.
