Hi, this is an idea I have touched on in the noobs forum, but thought it might be worth making into a hack for everyone.
It's a way to save bandwith, and make reviewing the topic when you are replying a bit easier.
When you hit the reply button in a topic, instead of loading a new page with the reply box, the options boxes and then the topic in review..
..instead, it could load the reply box and the options boxes in an iframe in the same window you are looking at. The same place a quick reply box is, below the hop to box, and above the contact us | homepage links.
I figured this way, you wouldn't have to load the quick reply boxes un-necessarily when viewing topics, and you'd have the convenient placing of the quick reply box.
If someone thinks this is decent enough to make publicly then great! If not, could someone be kind and help me do it for my v6.05 board please? The board is to update my v5.10 board, and I got the idea from using iframes as my website (designed by someone else) uses them pretty effectively.
I tried doing it myself, but wow I just can't figure it out! (i'm limited in skill!)
Many thanks for reading,
Mac
