is there anyway I can make it where if there sig is bigger then what we allow that it will shrink it down or not allow the sig to show??

Hmmm... I don't exactly know how to do this, but you might want to try taking a look at the code that limits the avatar size. There's also that new thumbnail hack floating around somewhere, maybe that'll work with a little modification.

Just from a web developers perspective.
This is not a good idea.
You are relying on the fact that the users put up a small image in size IE 250K or smaller
But if you reduce the image size yourself via height and width then a user coudl use a 2+ meg sized image and you wouldn't know it cept when your board started to take a long time to load.
Just my 2 cents.
A better idea would be if there was a way to verify the file size in kb first then do your hieght width shrinking.
