I think a great idea would be and i would like this myself. A Pop up warning that would go to a user who tries to post a link to another website. Alot of sites dont allow this, and links still would be allowed. But like if you post a link you get a warning that pops stating the rules about that and you will be contacted or etc. Then if they continue to post the link... like a email or notification would be sent to the mod or admin or both of a forum. ..that way with a large forum its hard to scan each post for things like that which break board policies and rules.

Hmm...I think the mods may start to complain after people realise that it sends an e-mail to them .

Other than that, it sounds like a good idea, but I don't know if you'd need to add another sub in the code to be called when a URL is found...

haha yeah the email thing might not be good, but maybe something else like the post would have to be approved before being shown....something to that effect... not sure, what would be the best way.

The way I do this ATM is that URLs are removed automatically, and people PM a mod if they really think it's relevant; but this probably isn't great for everyone.
