I am looking for a way for users to be able to search for all posts someone has Started, not just threads they have posted in. It would be even better if I could exclude certain forums from the search.

I run a poetry forum and users are really wanting a way to search for all poems posted by a certain user. As it is they can view all the recent posts made but that includes all replies and posts in general chit chat not just their posted poetry.

Any ideas?

I am using UBB.classic 6.4.0.

Quick & dirty.

Open up public_user_posts.pl

Find:

$r += 0;

Insert under:

next if $r && $in{topicsonly};

Then to get to the page, use the normal post history URL, appending ";topicsonly=1"

Maybe I am being blind but I cannot find the file "public_user_posts.pl" anywhere. ??

It is in your Templates directory.

Thanks! This is what I needed. I now have a link show up in the persons profile that works like recent posts but only shows the topics started by them.
