My site is at
http://www.minastirith.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi .
For my own reasons, I disabled the Infopop avatar usage in favor of keeping my own hacked way of doing things. However, I did keep the avatar selection popup as a gallery of the current users' avatars.
Check it out at
http://www.minastirith.com/ubb/gallery.html (the look is temporary
).
For now, clicking an avatar image does nothing. I disabled the function that made it change your avatar.
What I want it to do is to bring up the user profile of the avatar's owner when clicked.I name all avatars according to their member number that owns that avatar. For example, member 295 would have his avatar named 'avatar00295.gif' with 5 digits allowed for the number. The link to the profile needs 8 digits, but since I am only short 3 leading zeros, I figure it shouldn't be a problem.
What I need to know is:
- How do I parse out the member number from the avatar image name?
- How do I use this to change the current link on the avatars to open the member profile for that avatar?
Thanks for any help or suggestions you can offer.
