Cool Allen. I wasn't sure about the rules on posting hacks. I've sent it to mharmon via e-mail but here is the text from the 6.2.X Ban User From Forum hack:

I was curious if anyone had the chance to apply this to 6.4 or (gasp) 6.5 BR1 yet?

I haven't but from my experience most hacks I found from the 6.2x (and 6.X) will work (with some modifications) to newer UBB versions. Example, I've used the Hidden Forum Hack, (and currently using) Custom Status/Rank and Custom Avatar v0.0007e + addon, modified. I made it so that I'm the only one who can upload the avatar files (including Flash) and the majority of the Flash avatars were made by my GraphX team who concentrates on the members' signatures and avatars...I do this for security reasons as I do not like the idea of other people uploading stuff on our server.

The UBB codes are still there (in the newer versions) but maybe moved to another location or had a few syntax revisions and so I just look for similarities and go from there.

Ahh ok , i've ported enough mods to know it can be a pain at times, was just curious if anyone had the chance yet since I've been swamped at work lately ...

Definatley, I've been developing mods for the UBB since it was a lot less to be desired :x...

I know exactly how you feel with specific issues of the UBB, everything can be ported, it just depends on the time you're willing to spend!

True...While it's time consuming sometimes it is a better option then to wait until the updated hack is released because I'm too anxious.

Looks like the 6.2 version has a bug. It will ban a user, but if they happened to create another account, login, enter the banned forum under this new name, then logout and relogin with the banned account, it lets them also.

Looks like this might have been a bug that was fixed with the 6.3 version.

Does anyone have the 6.3 version available?

It's not a bug actually. Here is a statement from Tim on this hack:

"This will not stop the user from registering another name and posting. This also will not stop him from logging out and reading the posts."

This was posted directly after he created the original thread for the Ban User From Forum Hack.

**I also read in the 6.3x version the hack still targets the user's registration #, not IP. This will still allow a banned user to re-register and enter the forum that he/she is supposedly banned.
