what do you think is the remedy for a problem like having the HTML code apear on top of the page everytime I use the browser back button to go back to the previous page I was visiting?

something like this appears on top of the taple I have on the top of my page.
Thanks ugys.

yle type="text/css"> body { margin: 0; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt; background-color: #FFFFFF; } td { font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt; } span.datestamp-1 { font-weight: bold; } span.timestamp-1 { color: #a62a2a; }

IT is weird. I would appreciate if someone can recognize what causes such problems so that I can try to remedy it.

Thanks

It's an IE bug. Clear your IE cache. Frequently. That'll help, somewhat. The ultimate solution is upgrading to Mozilla. wink

This only occurs when I turn on the UBB ACCELERATOR. If it is off, everything is ok. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. The permissions on my template files are 777 and the ubb accelerator permission is 777 also.

I don't think it is an IE bug. It is a UBB bug because that only appears when the accelerator is turned on. I want to keep using the accelerator because I don't want to have some resource issue with my hosting company.

Can someone atleast take another guess on what could be causing that?

Mind you that I put a table on my template file through the control panel/style setting area. The table I have on top of the page has the main links about different sections of my site.

Someone please help.

It's also possible that the webserver your on hates the accelerator. Mine does so I have to turn it off. I was told here that it was because of the hosting company I use. I happen to believe the accelerator has issues that will eventually get ironed out.

Some hosts don't like certain codes being used... For example, in UBB.Threads, on my old host, I can't have glib compression enabled because it causes excess server load... Certain hosts just don't like certain code.

I use DigitalPrinceton.net and Steve is all about UBB support. I may have another look at it since I did the 6.4 upgrade. I have a 6.5 board running that I hope to put into production soon. I have 2 licenses and would love to get another board running.

Interesting note that this also happens to me when visitng the IP message boards. It started when they upgraded to their newest version. Previously the older version never had this problem.

My hosting company is HOSWAY.COM

Is anybody aware of any problems with them? My support guys don't have an idea of what is going on.
