Where can one find the html that sets up the area around $MainButtonsLine. There was a hack around a while ago that turned that region into images...can't recall that hack name. Nevertheless, I was imagining I could find it in public_common, but I didn't find anything.

If you're talking about $MainButtonsLine itself, that can be controlled via the sub MainButtonOptions in public_common.pl. If you're talking about the area around $MainButtonsLine... That's hardcoded into almost every template, so you'll have a bit of a job changing it. Sorry.  I think the hack you're describing is the Cosmetic Links hack...

CTM, i believe that he is infact talking about public_common.pl and the cosmetic links hack :x...
Just search public_common.pl for "forum home" should be sorta easy to spot it out, it's towards the end of page.
