do you also get crazy of all those users who ask to get rated becoz they think they posted a usefull topic..

well i do... the whole rating system at UBB 6.5 can be faked by all users. You just ask a few friends to give you a good rating and it will show up at each post you make, so all other users think that you are a good and reliable user... ..

now i would like to see a mod. that the rating can only be done by Admins.

the Admins on a UBB know who is really worth having a good rating. So i guess they should be able to rate who they want, and not just every simple user .


maybe this has been suggested before, but as far my searches have gone i cant find anything on this subject..

Really easy. Try this:
in ubb_profile.cgi (line 157~)

find:
# you can't rate yourself!

add above:
if((&OpenProfile($user_number))[8] ne 'Administrator') {
&StandardHTML("You have to be an Adminstrator to rate users.");
}

done.

Hey brett, how about a mod/megamod/administrator :-x
