Hi all,
I was thinking about nice system so that users who are on the forum want to stay longer. This is called ubb-dollars.
The system works as follows:
When a user registeres it will get 5 ubb dollars.
*Ubb dollars can be earned in the following way:
Replying to a post (+0,05$)
Someone Rates you(+1$ per star)
Buy lottery ticket (costs 3$, profit can be $0-$30, mostly $0)
Changing the usericon (+0,50, once a day)
Changing the signature (+0,50, once a day)
Etc. (add your wishes here)
*Ubb dollars can be spent the following way:
Add Posts, to postcount (-1$ per count).
Edit a Post (-$100).
Feature a topic (-$25)
Give it to users (- any amount given)
Etc. (add your wishes here)

Wouldn't be too hard to impliment; most likely it'd be based off of Wierd Al's UBB Points... Most likely you'd change the avatar to UBB Dollar's...

Wel actually it looks the most like UBB points, except that points are here automaticly gotten, and you can actually use them for something.
Why would you get point if you can't use them?

The points mod was created to be used for a site's rpg money mod's. It's setup as the base code for what a user would want, it's supposed to be built upon...

I would be surprised if you could make him do it, but I'll keep my fingers crossed  p.s. If you could give me some directions on how to do it, maybe I'm able to do it myself. I was thinking to use the point system as a starting point.

You'll have to go creating a new file (ubb_store.cgi most likely)
You'll have to create the lottery system there, as well as have it handle donations.
You'll have to edit the registration and edit profile routines to take into account the points system.
You'll have to edit the posting routines to take into consideration the points system when allowing deletes, etc, as well as featuring threads.
Ahh... that's why I didn't want to do this mod

Isn't there anyway to split up the hard pieces of work over more developers who likes this mod? I am not a star in UBB code, but with the right directions I can modify it. I could also programm the lottery routine, aswell as some other new routines needed. But my knowledge off the UBB code is too little to make a success of this.
So my questions is this:
Who want's to help in creating this mod?
