Create a forum called "Archives", set it's permission to Read only, then move all the posts you want to archive to that forum

Ian Spence, thanks a lot.
Will that reduce my server load or should I make it private?
My UBBaccelerator is still on but HOSTWAY.COM is telling me to delete some files. I feel betrayed.

You might choose a better host Deleting files won't improve server load much, unless a lot of searching is going on (we can't pay people here to search ). 90,000 posts really isn't much if server load is the issue - it sounds like they have the server overloaded with too many sites.

to prevent Gizzy from getting a free post, may I suggest HostNuke.com ? It has great support for UBB.classic forums, and host my site, as well as many of Gizzy's sites.

Hey that's my shameless plug! hehe... HostNuke will never tell you to delete files from your space; it's your space... The only exception is violating a copyright heh...
