Would somebody be interested in porting this mod up? https://www.ubbdev.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/20/792.html

Im still getting used to the new cp interface otherwise I would see about taking a crack at it.

6.7 does have more extensive tracking for IP's such as Last Login and Last Activity(I believe this updates once per day), however there isn't a any resolve/trace functions in it.

I'll give this a shot, but can only test it on 6.7. Should work fine on 6.6

Can't guarantee you anything as I haven't even touched the search part yet.

Now that I look at it, I'm debating doing the searching.

It required me to open up EVERY IP history file. This means a board with 5,000 members would require the opening of 5,000 files.

I'm not going to move these into a single file as this could easily reach 100MB+, bringing the forums to a crawl and really pissing off your host wink .

Essentially, this will only log the IP log, and allow you to view the IP history of a certain member.

I host myself either way. wink But searching is not needed but how about searching on a per user basis?

They're gonna be listed on the same page. I could sort them, and you could just use the magic "scrollbar"

Sounds good. Only reason I said per user ip searching was for users who use isp such as aol and get new ips like every 15 minutes. But sorted by numbers will work great. smile

eek aol :x... It's an interesting mod though; i'd love to see the stock code use something like an ARIN search (theive been around forever so not like theres anything to worry about) as IP's wink ...

We have/used to have something like this here... cal eventually moved it all to a mysql database for searching from there.
