hi, i HAVE 6.3 even though its says 6.2 above(because it wouldnt allow 6.3) I havent upgraded past 6.3 because I have almost every hack already installed and so there isnt much i'd be missing.
Now i know 6.3 have email notification but I want to make the 'check' box default to 'checked' so its always on unless you 'unclick' it. primarily because most people reply with the 'quickreply' which doesnt even have that option. I'm guessing it should be a one line or two mod. But I dont even know what file controls the 'newtopic' formatting. Can anyone help with this? thanks in advance --scott

public_newtopic.pl (or whatever the name of the file is, not at my reg. pc right now ) controls the layout for this. You should be able to add a : value="checked" to the line that talks about email notifications.

that's built into 6.7. Brett even wrote a hack for 6.7 where you didn't even need to reply to subscribe
