If you;'re talking about Unix/NT/Mac, then Unix is the best choice.

I disagree. NT is easier to set up and run. Mac is even better if your server has Timbuktu.

Well, yeah. That's true. And NT has a better error-handling. You don't see those 500 errors - you see exact error, but people say NT isn't that secure.
About macs - I've never used them, and heard that servers on them is not such a good idea (no offense to mac-people)

Mac servers are very reliable and easy to use (if you know how to use a Mac). NT web services can be very secure, if you set them up right. They're MUCH easier to set up and, as you say, give detailed debug info.

Macs aren't bad, but they're worse than Wins, i think.
1) They don't have as much software
2) They're 'transparent' - you can see the inside stuff in them (grrrr, ugly!)
3) The iBOOKS are so ugly - the colors.. I mean, why would you want an orange notebook??? [Linked Image]
4) They seem to be more expensive

Huh? I use both Macs and Intel, Both have their value. But I do lean more toward macs though. I just got a G4/450 with dual 21" Studio monitors, 60gb raid and 512mb of ram. Killer graphics machine. I'm an image tech and macs dominate that field. Glad to see there is a few mac lovers out there. If you never used one, your missing out.

OK that should start a flame war......[Linked Image]

Two words win this argument: market share.

I love Amigas. They were technical marvels combining the best features of both PCs and Macs and packed with their own unique benefits too. They're now dead for all intents and purposes.

We're not writing our software for Macs in our company because we'd like to reach the largest market in the World. When, and only when, we have enough resources and the need to access the Mac share of the market we'll do so.

Whether or not something's nice to use or even superior doesn't make it successful. That's one lesson I'm keeping close to heart when we start marketing our new product.
