not bad. I like the color scheme but you might want to think about adding more forums. But lke you said. you are in the beggining stages.

It's nice. But it's kinda dark. And it looks sorta incomplete without a logo image...

Well, I wouldn't suggest adding more forums unless you have the traffic to fill them. Empty forums look dumb. ^_^
But I agree with Skorp... it needs an accent color, maybe a little more use of the time color and some sort of decoration/integration around the forums.
