Tell me what you think. The site looks very plain and simple, but its a clean look. The main reason why I made the color scheme grey is because I want the colors of the fanart posts to stand out. Anyway, here's the site. http://otakusg.hypermart.net/ If you like anime, please register

the board looks real good...the colors are good and the way u set up ur tables is pretty unique...the icons match up and look excellent...well thats only my opinion but one advice upgrade to 6.05
and maybe install some hacks

Thanks SK8, I was thinking about installing some hacks, but I wanted such a simple layout that it would look odd with a few of the ones that I've seen.

Looks ok. Grey seems to get a little bit boring. Use more than one table colour. It will look better.

VERY different, that's what I can say. I think it looks too plain and empty on the summary and forums pages. On the topic pages, I really like the way the tables are laid out, though.
I think you should introduce another color in the tables, such as a bluish-gray or reddish-gray...

Well, from a design standpoint I can admire the fact that it is very clean and well executed. Personally, though, I found it somewhat depressing.  If I was a forum member, I might be driven away from spending large amounts of time there due to the plain, monochrome sceme of your forums. My advice would be to at least add some red buttons or borders. You might want to check out http://www.clan-316.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi - they are one of my favorite forums, and they use a mostly gray color scheme without making it look dull.

Thanks for the suggestions. However, I made the site as plain as possible on purpose. I did not want it to be flashy at all so that the anime fanart posted would stand out. Besides, with a forum designed with such dull colors, you can spend a much longer amount of time staring at the screen without burning your eyes out.
