Well, I spent a week adding hacks and such.
I designed the colors, and my buddy ritalin helped me with images.
I still got some work. But this is what it will look like.

As far as I can tell that UBB is beautifully designed. Except for a few things. I really don't like the profile | register | search buttons at all. One because they are inconsistant and two because the fonts aren't that good to me. smile I also think that that the new post and new reply buttons are too big too. I like things a little smaller in my opinion. Otherwise GREAT JOB!

Thax, I'm open to all opinions.

I preffer things smaller myself also.

Just a step behind me Sean...lol

You're going to cook up some headers/footers too aren't you?

er..on a side note...even if I only go to AbsoluteFrontier and pick on your members your board does look good.

Now..don't quote me on that...I have a reputation to uphold.

You know...I was counting up your posts...even with 50 less members then you have my traffic is nearly the same.

Although I recently had to wean people away from acting like morons (for lack of a better word). So my trffic will probably decrease now that I am encouraging a, more mature, type of discussion.

The black cell rollovers don't match at all. And with all the animated garbage you've got, my browser is all jumpy and slow on your page.

Also, what are you talking about the "Absolute Frontier Layout"??? It looks like a plain old UBB layout to me. You threw in a bunch of extra garbage that makes the page look cluttered and slow. But the actual layout is pretty much the same, as far as I can tell.

I agree with Skorpion, way to much stuff moving around, I start to get a little seasick and had to leave.

I'm gonna sound REAALY nit-picky here: wink

I agree with the others; too much animation everywhere.

The "new topic" and "post reply" buttons themselves are a good size, but the text is difficult to read on them and they really don't match the rest of the site.

I don't care too much for the black rollovers. Consider another color (perhaps a lighter shade of blue?).

On the topic pages, the members' names look a bit goudy because of the serifed font and the usage of the "glowing names" hack. It gives it a cheesy look IMHO.

Advice, not for just you but for a lot of other budding hackers, just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do something. Unnecessary hacks and animations may look nice in some instances, but make sure it looks good on your board first. smile
