Number one: Get a real server. Freebies suck. If you can afford a $250 UBB, there should be very few reasons why you can't afford real hosting.
Number two: Pick a (real) server and stay there. In a span of about two days, I remember you having at least three different addresses for your site, prolly more that I don't remember.
Number three: Get a (real) server that works. I've tried to click that link several times, and after waiting about five minutes, I finally get bad server errors every time.
Though I can't get on this site right now, if I eventually do get on, and I am greeted with *anything* that tries to change my homepage, I'm going to be closing this thread, because that's just ridiculous. Just thought I'd let you know that up front.

I think the colors need some work, and you should install some hacks to make it a little bit more original.

Might as well start at the top and work our way down the list, I guess.
1. You turned registration off? Not the way I'd recommend to try and gain new members.
2. What's with the colors, and why are they so dark? I thought I was at a gothic site, not a computer site. Light yellow and black is not very attractive, either.
3. Did I mention to consolidate your forums and categories? Guess I did...
4. Where's the originality here? Looks just like any other stock UBB™ to me.

One thing that stood out like a sore thumb for me: get rid of the apostrophes on some of the forum titles (E-mail Program's, Printer 's and Scanner 's). Anybody with a fifth-grade education or higher in English would know better than to put an apostrophe in a plural...  Do what Matt suggested: consolidate, consolidate, consolidate! Start out with a small number of forums, and then add more as your traffic increases. The dark colors have gotta go, too... [ August 24, 2001: Message edited by: WDFA ]
