The purple colors go well together, but you have waaaaay too many forums. Based on what I'm seeing there, you should probably only have a max of maybe 10 forums. You need to do some serious consolidating and then wait for the board activity to get to a sufficient level to warrant adding additional forums.

SWFan is right about the number of forums. Start off with just what you need and expand later when you need to.

The purples are nice. Somehow your header just doesn't tie into the scheme. Maybe adding some more purple to it? I'm not sure.

Overall, it's clean and easy to read. Nice. The use of some modifications add a nice touch of custom without being too much. Good job.
