I know it's been in here a lot but it is a total facelift this time on 6.3 beta. I was having bizarre issues with 6.2.1.3 including threads getting mixed together etc. The new Netwerkin is based mostly on template changes and very few hacks .cgi wise. Please click here and share your thoughts good or bad.

That looks awesome there Xpert.. but the thing is.. i miss the borders.. the ones in between categories / forums on ultimatebb.cgi.. oh and on the topic view too ofcourse Dunno.. i think i am just a bit to used to them.. makes things easier to look at.. for me that is

1. I like two different alt colors. 2. I don't like "by: [nickname] >> topic", as well as "Moderated by: [x]". 3. I don't like the graphics of my profile/etc. 4. topic page - noticed that 'reply' button in every post is NOT reply with quote?  5. Last reply by's color is Time Color, instead of Text Color. 6. I don't really like totally black color 7. I agree @ borders. Except that, looks nice

The thing I love about this site is the way in which newbie UBB hackers like me can learn from the best. I've watched some of Netwerkin's designs over time and been impressed by them all.
I came back tonight as I'm currently hacking a new 6.3.0 UBB into shape and was looking for inspiration.
I've found it big style in this board and it makes me realise what can be done with a little hard work. Give me a few weeks and I'll hopefully have mine looking very similar.
I'm very impressed. If you could also compile your hacking steps into an easy to follow 257 step plan, I'd be even happier.

I like the custom text colour hack you have there.. Very cool. That you're own custom work or is it a hack from 6.2 or 6.1 that I seemed to have looked over?

The font color hack is one from 6.05 that I just keep adding to the new versions. I have it set up so the the users name and title have their font color as well. I don't remember who did the original hack but it is defined in their profile.

Will the original hack from the 6.0x forum work on 6.3 or have you modified it to work?

Then add before post_body (public_topic_page.pl) or whatever you want to be that color. Go into the cp and in the registration settings use the last custom field for "Font Color" and make it an optional foeld.

replace that with;

That will make the post the custom color
