Howdy Folks!

Make sure to enter the Content Rulez this month. This will be the last month before we have our Grand Prize Showdown between our recent winners. The Grand Prize winner will receive a renewal to the Infopop UBB™ Members Area!

Deadline for entries is Monday, August 26, 2002, 11:59pm UBBDev-time (Central)

Here are the rules:

This contest focuses on the Content of your site. Basically, we want you to provide us with examples that you think best represent your forums. To enter into the contest, you must provide us with the following:

• A brief description of what your forums is all about. It's purpose, the type of users you attract, and how long the community has been together.
• Links to four individual threads that you feel best exemplify your board, at least two of these threads must be at least 1 month old.

Entries must be submitted prior to Monday, August 26th, 11:59pm UBBDev-time, after which time we'll lock up this thread and start judging.
Each entry will be evaluted by UBBDev's crack team of Moderators and Administrators, who will vote on which site they feel best serves its audience.

Note: that we will not be voting on which threads we like best, but the ones that we feel best represent the purpose of your forums and make a positive contribution to your community.

Now for the fine print:

• Eligible entries can be any legal full-release UBB™. This includes older version 5.x boards!!! If you have a pirated board...don't bother entering.
• The only eligible beta boards are version 6.3.x boards (note: we are no longer allowing 6.2x betas).
• Forum must have been established at least three months ago
• Any warez, porno or warez/porn related site, or sites with links, banners, pop-ups to any warez or pornographic sites need not apply. We may exclude any other site that we deem to be inappropriate or contains inappropriate content, or content deemed to be inappropriate...you get the point.
• Sites that illegally hide/remove/modify the Infopop copyright
• Links to threads which contain excessive profanity or vulgar language will be removed. If your site is best represented by "inmaturity" then this is probably not the contest for you.

Entries can also be disqualified for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice to the entrant.
The winner will have their site featured in the September U-Zine, will receive some primo free advertising with a link in our sidebar, will receive a nifty Custom Status indicating that you are the King/Queen of Content, a spiffy Certifigif to proudly display on your site and you will be eligible to participate in our Grand Prize Showdown next month.

Rules of this contest may be modified at any time if needed or if we just feel like yanking your chain.

Well, noticing how there's soooo many people entering...I figure my chances are quite large.

I really didn't plan on entering GamingSphere into it, cause we've kinda gotten inactive, but it's just a phase, probably.

GamingSphere was AnimeGamerz until July of this year, but then we dropped the anime aspect of it. GamingSphere is just a community of people who like gaming, but don't really think of it as their life. Most of our more active members probably spend more time on the computer than they do playing video games. But that doesn't mean they don't know what they're talking about. We attract any members we can get, so it varies, but most active people were former members at the Pojo.com message board.

Wow, caught this just in time! I was dying to enter the last content contest, but was too late. So I was hoping for another one and just saw this contest today, a few hours before the deadline.

EpicSki has become an influential part of the skiing (snow skiing) industry despite being run as a hobby by only one person (me). We have a very active usergroup, even throughout the summer off-season -- though our activity is obviously still far greater in the winter. EpicSki has become the most active and most informative skiing discussion forum on the internet, and it is the only large skiing forum run independently (not owned by a magazine or tv/video production company).

What sets EpicSki apart is the quality of our members, who range from very well known authors of skiing books and magazine articles, to nationally recognized coaches and competitors, and a diverse and dedicated group of amateurs. I believe the quality of the content will speak for itself. For those reviewing our site, I would encourage you to look at the forums frequented most by our professional users: The "Technique & Instruction Forum", "Ski Gear Discussion Forum", and the "Fitness & Health for Skiing Forum". In addition, the "Meet-On-The-Hill Forum", where real-world EpicSki gatherings are always being planned, demonstrates the strength of the community this website has created.

2. The other aspect is FUN. I love to use these sites to have fun in the "OFF" season. I enjoy a good joke and have dedicated 2 sections to it. The "JOKE" section is for general jokes, and the "ADULT SECTION" has a pluthora of adult jokes and Pictures and Is locked with Admin aproval to keep the Under age out. Hopefully this isn’t violating any Contest rules.

HUNTING is my life and I enjoy people and the Outdoors.
