I am fairly new to UBB design and website creation as a whole. If you have any suggestion please post with ways they could be corrected or added in detail. The site www.cellularindustry.com is currently getting 30 thousand hits per month help so I am under a little pressure. I would rather hear criticism from developers than lose potential customers when we do start advertising.

Again detailed suggestions are always appreciated

Thanks in advance

Jack

Welcome smile

My first bit of advice would be to make the copyright visible, as it breaks your license agreement for it to be invisible.

Secondly, please turn off the javascript on right mouse clicks, very irritating and not real protection for you from anything. View >> Source in IE does everything and other browsers are the same. For a commericial site, the javascript isn't very professional.

Thirdly, your site seems a bit on the grey side of legal (nokia cracks and unlock codes?), I really don't think I can help you.

Lastly, please spell your own domain name correctly in your logo. tipsy

I wouldn't spend a minute in a site that blocks rightclick. It's annoying to have to click on View -> Source. The people who actually NEED the images can get it that way, but the people who want to surf it every day/week/whatever might find it problematic.

BTW, if you disable javascript in IE you can still rightclick wink

Allen,

The copyright has been made bolder. If you still cannot view it please advise as I may have a problem.

I will have to keep the Java considering the average user will not need to copy images. If they do then they should probably move to another site. I understand its not "real protection" but it will stop some people.

As far as being a bit on the Grey side. I assure you that Unlocking solutions are completely legal in fact they are designed by the major phone manufactures. They are not "cracks or unlock codes" they are solutions. An example would be a customer walking into one of my stores with a phone they previously used in another state. I would simply use the Nokia program called Wintesla to upload current PRL's for use in the local market.

The logo misspell is fixed

Thanks for all the suggestions. If you have more please advise

The average user will not need to view a web page source. The site is not geared to programmers

Thanks for the input

You have replaced the "Powered by Infopop" image with a blank image, which is a no-no. Granted, it is clickable, but clearly not visible.

It's fine now smile (no image is used)

also, what if I want to save an image, just for my personal use? what if I installed microsoft's addon that lets you zoon into the picture, and if you don't know you have to right click on the picture to use it? what if I want to do the simplest thing: copy text? It'd be easier to right click than to click on Edit - Copy. It's also very annoying (IMO) if you click on rightclick button accidently and get that notice.

BTW, I see you removed that js code now tipsy

Edit: oh, and about the site itself... I like 2 altcolumncolors, and I don't think neither of them should be the same as bgcolor - white. also, I don't like red HR's... and the category strip color/bgcolor isn't so pretty either (again, just IMO)

LK:

Thanks for the continued info. All Java from the boards has been removed. I was under the impression you were talking about the site as a whole. The text in the boards if often copied and pasted .... My mistake

What would you suggest for colors? I personally like bold colors and a clean background
