UBB.Developers Forums Community Development Promoting Your Community Forum Showcase March 2003 Member Spotlight

After hibernating this winter, we are ready to bring out the Spring edition of our Member Spotlight contest. The entries will be open from Today until February 25th at midnight.

We judge based on 5 criteria for excellence in forum webmastery :
- originality
- quality of modification integration
- site integration
- graphics & styles & aesthetics
- and the overall quality of the member experience

If you think you've got what it takes, reply with a link to your forum and a little more information if we need to check something specifically special about your site

We'll be alternating this contest with a couple others, so get your site entered of you plan to soon. We'll have more information on what our showcase showdown prizes will be soon

Swift Action Forums

A UBB for entertainment related stuff, such as Movies, Music, Games, and more. We just opened a little over two months ago, and our site is in development at the moment. So until the site is released, enjoy the forums.

I finally tied the Board into the site-look seamlessly over the winter and I've been tweaking the graphics here and there. Not a lot of modding done to it, but I'm happy with it. Always open for suggestions.

We've been using the UBB since it was, well, much to be desired . We spend much time on the site, the majority just on the BBS and modifications.

Thanks Allen ... Spent lots of work on my BBS lol, concidering for a while most of the mods ported for 6.4 were by me it was lots of work lol...

Some minor things need updated (need to work on the cosmetic links images and setup alt text on a few images (last two). But I figured I'd throw myself into the running .

Well...Ok.

An online gaming clan site...The new site was released on Feb 9, 2003 (and several new forums) so a work in progress. I thought I might share:

- PM Inbox and Calendar both on the public_common.pl so users can see the info on all pages.

- Topic pages: custom title under user's name + for clan members under their posts will display their individual ranks (if officers), positions and divisions they play in.
