Hi, I'm Gizzy (Gizmo, Giz, whatever)... My board is available here for anyone who would like to look it over... I've spent many many hours alone in a dark dark corner listening to the neighbors pounding on the wall and little kids outside screaming redesigning my board... And I'm here to ask just one thing... and I thought I had many hacks in my 6.5 board  let's see... 1. I like the colors 2. I don't like the On/Off images in forum summary 3. I think the » and « near "Active Topics" image don't look so well.. 4. there are some problems with the news fader's news, jtlyk.. 5. I like the banner 6. the "Member Rated" images don't fit to a dark bg, try to use the ones from drk-bg-images folder of the stock noncgi directory.. you might wanna do the same on the other images, such as profile,email,url,edit,replyw/quote, report post.. 7. It seems like everybody has "Point Total: 0"... I suggest you to remove it if it's zero.. 8. I gotta go now btw always most of my notes are negative, just because my point is to review, not to praise..

With the member rated, the blue looks so much better than the orange lol... I'm actually planning on replacing them soon when I get un-lazy lol... Everyones point total is 0 except those with points :x... And I know most of your points are negative, I'm used to you by now

LK is quite the pessimist, don't you think?  Anyway, excellent work as usual, Giz. I would like to add a few pointers though: 1) There's not enough variation between your on/off images really. Try making the off image less bright, that's a surefire way to grab attention. 2) Try centre-aligning the news fader, I think it would look better because some news items are very long. 3) This is being VERY picky, but making the cosmetic links 4 buttons across by 2 buttons down would keep up the "box" shape on the board. 4) I also have to go now.

It shouldn't if you've specified the width on the right column. Make sure there isn't "nowrap" in the right column.

If I may make a suggestion. As CTM suggested, move the buttons to a 4x2. Remove "UGN Security BBS". Align the buttons top right. Add a background image of the height of your left banner and span the image to repeat (so that it spreads from left to right). 800 is likely to be the smallest user's resolution so make sure that both the left banner + 4 buttons in one row do not exceed 800...Preferably 780px.
