And Stone cold is cool, but he ain't no Goldberg..! ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif) Next week WWF moves to TNN. I grew up wacthing them both, I prefer WCW, I like Flair, the Horseman, and my all time oldies but goodies.. THE ROAD WARRIORS!!! I miss em,.. the lights dim, Iron man plays.. Loved it! ------------------ [This message has been edited by C_P (edited September 20, 2000).]

Works for me.. ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies//wink.gif) ------------------ [This message has been edited by C_P (edited September 20, 2000).]

Well I don't watch wrestling anymore, but I did prefer WWF or WCW...I mean what's that dude's name? Booker T? yeah him, Booker T tried copying the Rock. Look at him, following the gestures and stuff like that... hehe ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies//biggrin.gif) ------------------ Quality Pages designing the world professional web pages for affordable prices.

I think Harlem Heat (Booker T and his Brother Stevie Ray) were on WWF first.. not sure, the Roc is a second generation wrestler. His father Rocky Johnson was a WWF star for a long time.. I guess growing up in the south, I just grew up prefering NWA,WCCW, and now WCW.. ------------------

This was the type of topic that I just needed to interject my thoughts 1)WCW has NOT been around longer than WWF. WCW and NWA worked together for awhile, but they are not the same promotion. NWA still exists, but it is not nearly as big as it once was 2)Goldberg sucks. He can't wrestle, he can't work the mic, he just sucks 3)Rock is a third generation superstar, his grandfather was "High Chief Peter Miavia" 4)WCW does steal WWF ideas, all the time 5)WCW has taken a huge dive the past few years, and at the time they are pretty bad. I still watch, but they aren't nearly as good as the WWF is. 6)The Undertaker ist the best wrestler of all time(next to Andre the Giant), so screw Goldberg, Rock, and Austin, none of them can wrestle, but atleast they CAN be entertaining at times

Nah, I like the Nature Boy! And guess where undertaker came from.. ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif) He was once teamed with Sid "Vicous" as the twin towers or some such, on either WCW or NWA. how about the Von Erichs.. (Yeah I go back aways..) Recently departed is Rick Rude.. And it was sad about Owen Hart, very sad.. I doubt the road warriors will be back.. But we can hope. Ever see em in person, I have.. GEEEZ he blocks out the sun (Animal) Seen Hogan, Sting, Flair, all the tops.. It's a trip going to see them live, watching how the crowd get's going. Great Theatre.. I heard Gordon Solie, (NWA) passed recently too. Sad.. (God I feel old) As for stealing ideas, well I think they each have walked the fine line.. A lot of them has bounced back and forth. Hogan and others left WWF, a bunch left WCW and went to WWf.. Thanks for the read and reply..! ------------------ [This message has been edited by C_P (edited September 20, 2000).]

I like Nature Boy too Yeha, Undertaker came from WCW, but he didn't tag with Sid, he replaced Sid, and it was the SkyScrapers. His gimmick was a biker, not American Bad Ass like he is now, but similar to how DOA was, or how the Harris Boys are now, it was a horrible gimmick. He was managed by Paul Ellering, who also managed the Road Warriors at some point Loved Rude, and Owen, very tragic. We also can't forget Pillman. Von Erichs, also a tragic story. Texas Tornado was one of my favorites. Yes, Solie did pass away a few weeks ago. I have been to seem them live several times, and I have met several wrestlers as well.(DDP, Bobby Eaton, Dusy Rhodes, Ernest Miller, Eric Bischoff, Madusa, General Rection(Hugh Morris at the time), and my second favorite wrestler Scott Hall, that was a great moment for me!)

(fell from technitron) Dunno.. They were my fav's good bad or whatever.. and let's not forget.. The Fantastics..LOL What a couple of comic book heroes.. ------------------

and about the stealing ideas, yes, they have all done it. Its natural to take ideas from the competition if its beating you. BUT, WCW just blatantly copies WWF, they don't even change or try to improve the ideas, they just copy it straight out. The whole Booker T thing for example. Don't get me wrong, I used to LOVE Booker, but once they turned him into a Rock ripoff, they just screwed him up

Maybe you know, TNT is owned by Viacom and I think Ted Turner. Now is TNN owned by viacom? If so will the same company own the broadcast rights to WCW and WWF? ------------------

I don't know where you heard that, but there is NO chance Turner is trying to buy the WWF. There were rumors though that Vince had thought about buying WCW, but those were obviously shot down very quickly, I don't know where people come up with this stuff THere have been lots of rumors of different people wanting to buy WCW, like Eric Bischoff, FOX Network, and some others.

Whoa and I thought I was a wrestling fan. Anyways, Takerfan you say Undertaker is the best? What about his so called Brother, Kane? I believe Kane is alot stronger than the Taker himself, but probably not as quick. Another wrestler you might wanna consider is the Big Show, he may be slow at most times, but when he's got you in the choke slam grip.....GOODBYE! hehe ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies//biggrin.gif) ------------------ Quality Pages designing the world professional web pages for affordable prices.

According to what I read at wwf.com, Big show go bye bye.. He is in a different wrestling assoc. Working on his skills, and losing weight. He MAY be back later.. The TakerFan, They did wrestle as a tag team in WCW (Seen em) Undertaker is really Mark Callis (not sure about spelling) And here's a name from long ago.. Mark Louin (sp) The Purple Haze, he wrestled with Kevin Sullivan.. Geeez my head hurts remembering that one.. My days as a wrestling fan go back to the days of Bruno, Danny Running Bear, and alike. Ivan Putsky, Paul Orndorf (Still the man!!) And my then fav HOT ROD! Rowdy Roddy Piper. None will ever touch his persona, except perhaps Jessie! And I miss Gorilla Monsoon.. RIP Geno.. I live a few blocks from Bruno now, although never met him. Here's another old fav..Well two.. Dusty Rhodes and Black Jack Mulligan.. Those two were awesome to watch! (Hey I'm from the south so be nice..) If you want to talk about the consumate athletes, well Lex Luger, Goldberg.. ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif) , Bret Hart, Old school, Jack Brisco, Bob Backlund, Ken Patera, and of course Hogan.. ------------------ font> [This message has been edited by C_P (edited September 21, 2000).]

1)Undertakers name is Mark Calloway, in WCW he was "Mean Mark Calloway" 2)Undertaker is, in my opinion, the best all around wrestler today. Kane is nothing compared to UT. He has gotten alot better since he debuted, but he still has a ways to go. 3)Big show is just fat, slow, and can't wrestle at all. He can be funny though. And about being in another promotion, he's in OVW, which is a training federation for the WWF. He's just there tuning up, learning to wrestle better, and to get his fat ass into shape

Okay which incarnation of the UT do you like best? (I prefer now) Past was close to being a comic book character (Actually he was wasn't he?) I think they should have an award show for all of em each year. They now admit to the shows being scripted. So why not give them awards..? I always liked their physical abilities. I mean a guy picking up some 400lb'er is not slouch, no matter what they say about him. ------------------

The new UT is alot better than they way they had him before he left, its more of the way he is in real life. But the original UT was the best one. Once they started the whole ministry thing it was all downhill. I didn't like the whole leather thing either. WWF used to have the Slammy Awards, but for whatever reason they stopped it after two years. I heard they were going to do it again next year though, on UPN
