Never had any problem on my business site and it's getting atleast 2000 messages a day by 32082 users (currently) ...so your point isn't proven just yet.

vB one had some load problems (some big ones) but they were quickly fixed. UBB on the other hand, still has load problems for really big sites - but then that's the OpenTopic vs vB argument, which OpenTopic wins hands down. Just a thought

You do realize you are responding to 5 month old posts, eh? A lifetime in internet terms... could be that this time was when vB had those problems cal was talking about. They admit themselves that earlier versions had some load problems.
