Mark,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you buy the full licensed copy of the UBB (which comes with the spellchecker,) don't you still get banner ads in the spellchecker module?

So is the "full" spellchecker an additional cost or not?

yeah they've all got banner ads and its annoying it increases load time.

Just put the following files in the cgi-bin
check.tmpl
dospell.tmpl
init.tmpl
opts.tmpl
show.tmpl
sproxy.cgi
sproxy.ini
unload.tmpl

the spch.js goes in the noncgi in a folder called spellchecker.

i noticed a random user id in the spch.js but nothin much to remove ads.

You'd think that the "Powered By ..." would have been enough, especially since they're now being carried by InfoPop. The unfortunate thing is that I can't use it on my corporate site (no banner ads.)

Blows ...

So, you'd rather that IP take the feature out? You have a lot of guts to slam IP for giving people what they want. It's Spellchecker that added the banners, not IP... gimme a break.

Yes, I've gotten into this argument on SK already....

Infopop said they were not going to create a spellchecker. People asked for at least integration with spellchecker.net, so INfopop finally gave in and did that.

It's either that plug in (with the banners), or nothing at all. It isn't becausse IP is making money (as charles said, the banners are from spellchecker), it's because the licnses for no banners costs money.

Infopop decided that they would integrate but that people who wanted the feature will put up with the banners, that isn't their problem. Its either keep the banners, pay for the non banner if you want it, shut the spell checker off, or infopop removes it all together.

I'm getting sick of people *****ing about those banners being in there...they integrated with someone else's product as per requests receieved. They were never gonna develop a spellchecker feature, so its that or nothing.
