I'm so veddy veddy veddy happy! Everyone who uses NS right now should go and get it, it will make EVERYONE happier, and, you'll see cooler stuff on the web.

It's the EXACT SAME THING as 4.76 just with a skin...what a bunch of krap. If you want the best HTML processing then use IE5+ because what you see on the web is more worth than what you see for your navigation buttons...

NS 6, my first look at it...

Pros
- already knew my user name and password... pretty cool.
- does text hovers now, about time and very nice...
- seems to load pages/ tables more quickly
- does inline frames
- uses the IE ubb code buttons now... nice...

cons
- still not there when it comes to table border colors...[Linked Image]

anyways... that's my first take on NS6, looks good, so far..

Ok, i told you guys how i hate NS, and let work my board with it was the biggest problem, i made my board with lots hours competible with NS 4.47 and i had still some problems with viewing ubb_library2.

I have today NS6 and my board works perfect on it thus Thumbs up for NS team for this time.
It's still not good as IE5.5 but its much better than crapy 4,47...

On Scriptkeeper when I use NS6 it loads both the Iframe and the regular topic review when I reply. It does not do that here. Have you fixed it? Every time I look at Scriptkeepr I find another NS6 problem.

And........ when I installed NS6 here at home on my NT box the java install crashed and burned.

And ........ it takes forever and 37 days for pages with nested tables to appear. I keep wanting to hit back and then hit reload when I see document done but no page.

And .......... as I type this every other line is indented.

And ........... when I click import it imports my IE bookmarks but not my NS4.74 bookmarks.

And ........... if i click in the middle of a sentence my left and right arrow keys do nothing.

So ........... I will be uninstalling this mistake this evening. I have to have this at work. I do not need it at home. I will live with my NS4.7 series browser for a bit longer it seems.

Why do people hate Microsoft so much that they must use a different browser?

NS6 is based on Mozilla - and Mozilla doesn't have most of those problems. Seems like NS programmers put bugs into the code before they release it... and we thought only Microsoft made bad software just so you had to get the patch.

I tried out the latest release of Mozilla not so long ago, but it was probably the slowest piece of rubbish ive ever experienced..... if that is what Nutcrape 6 was based on then im steering well clear.

strange...everywhere you go for design and development, people say to design for IE and NS. Yet, here, I don't think I have seen one person say that they use NS.

strange.

cal:what I meant by that sentence, was that people who use NS right now and refuse to use IE should get NS6, because it's better than nothing.

anyway. I tried downloading NS6, but it keeps screwing up. Something about skins, I think. Anyway.

From now on I think we should all just develop for IE5+ and NS6. Yes, many people still have earlier versions of NS. But thats their problem, not ours. IE5 has been available for some time, anyway.

Speaking personally I cant stand 'Skinnable' applications whether they be browsers or media players or whatever. they always seem to run slower than normal apps and take a lot longer to download due to the weight of all the pointless cosmetic junk. One of the reasons i like Opera so much is its ability to switch off all pointless decorations.

And a pretty frontage doesnt really disguise a **** piece of software. You cant polish a turd, but you can stick a flag in it.
