That has got to be one of the best editors i have ever seen... and its free!! its almost too good to be true......

Um, noooooooooooo. I think you'll find im not talking about Microsoft FrontPage 2000.

Im talking about FIRST Page 2000. its not a wysiwyg. Its actually a lot like HomeSite.......

Yes! First Page 2000 is an EMPIRE APPROVED PRODUCT. Like anyone cares what I think. I use it for everything...its spectacular. I posted somewhere in Styles and Graphics about it's many features. And it's free, like Phil said.

All WYS**** IWYG vs. text editor arguments aside, this really must be the best text editor available. It has EVERYTHING. EV-ER-Y-THING.

• spell checker & thesaurus
• colored text
• line numbering
• real-time in-program preview with browser of your choice (and different screen resolutions)
• Free for use Javascripts, DHTML, and perl/cgi scripts.
• Shortcut keys (for different tags)
• edit source from web
• templates
• find/replace
• HTML Tidy (format source, convert to XML)
• source compressor
• strip all tags feature
• view DOM
• FTP Program (?, I've never used it)
• easy rollover function
• multiple document support

and more.
I amaze myself with it every day.

Good question. I haven't seen it for download from the developer's site, but you might find it at download.com.

Unfortunatly i now must add 1st Page 2000 to the list of truly excellent applications that screw my computer up whenever i use them!!!
