Yup. I beleive the earliest version I have is 3.04. Wish I had a 2.x somewhere, but alas I don't. ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif) [edit, to anticpate the questions that usually come after this thread starts: No I won't email anyone a copy, and no I won't set one up for everyone to see ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif) ] --mark This message has been edited by Mark Badolato on December 28, 2000 at 01:58 PM

There was a thread, probably 8 or 9 months ago on SK, and someone located a copy of 1.x somewhere on one of the IP servers.

Here's that thread: http://www.scriptkeeper.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000357.html Unfortunately, the links to the 1.0 version that were found seem to have now been disconnected. There is, however, a screenshot that Ted posted from a 2.x version. My age shows when I see that 2.x and say "yep...that's when I first saw UBB..." ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif) Also, for those of you that like seeing pics, there's an old picture of Ted & Rosemary in that thread that someone found ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif) --mark This message has been edited by Mark Badolato on December 28, 2000 at 04:15 PM

The DOODAD thing cracks me up. For a little while I put the "Another freeware DOODAD" in the rewrite of the guestbook, but I removed it cuz the footer was too big.
The "Nice try Paco" cracks me up too but you can't see that one. That was an error message in 1.x and maybe 2.x

I have a working copy of 3.0. It wasn't too hard to get it working with Y2K. I have some older UBB zips... My curent public UBB installation is 5.38, with the required security patches, which is a direct upgrade from 5.20. ------------------ Liam: "...The only part I can't get to work is the actual equation: Poisson(X) = (A^X x e^-A)/X!" Tim: "You've a mathematical function named w/ the French word for fish?" -- as overheard on Flare.

CC- do you mind telling me what file you needed to edit in 3.0 to get around the Y2k bug? ------------------ Modification Developer of the Ultimate Bulletin Board Due to time limitation, I do not offer support Via. E-mail, ICQ or AIM. Regards, MasterMind

Pretty much every file. The pre-5.10 UBBs use the ####-####-####-####.m format files. One of those (the 2nd?) is the month and 2 digit date. The perl date routines are Current-1900. 2000 is 100. Thus a date would be FIVE, not four digits. Thus all the pattern matching (which is done via substrings, not regexes) is totally screwed up. YOu have to fix those. ------------------ Liam: "...The only part I can't get to work is the actual equation: Poisson(X) = (A^X x e^-A)/X!" Tim: "You've a mathematical function named w/ the French word for fish?" -- as overheard on Flare.
