Just out of inane curiosity, what governs the numbering of releases?

I mean now we have had beta 7.1 & 7.2, what would have to change to jump a whole number to beta 8? do you only increment by a decimal point for typo's or something?

I don't know Phil but Beta 7.3 has been released and Ted is testing Beta 7.4 on scriptkeeper.

Minor small grade changes don't govern a HUGE number increase.

I say beta 8.0 will be the final release I even think Info Pop has some more tricks up there sleeve. If you have looked at or done or made any of the hacks that are here now you can see that this board is alot easeir to add things to. I dont think Info Pop put all them extra fields in just so the hackers would have a better life.......

In that case UBB 6 Final will be out in less than a week if they keep at the same pace of releasing each beta as they are now

How do you figure? They could have 7.10, 7.11, 7.12, etc.

Well, he said he thought Beta 8 was going to be the last beta before the final release. I was stating that IF beta 8 was the last beta, then the final would be out in less than a week from when I posted that message, 4 days ago. That is of course they had kept up with the pace they were going at releasing the betas. I highly doubt beta 8 will be the last one though.
