how do people hack into a ubb? cause my board was hacked and i wanna know how they did it so i can prevent it from happeneing again.

im using v 5.47c and they deleted posts, members, edited some of my cgi files, and changed the color.

sounds like they have ftp access and admin password access, you should change user names and passwords on them immediately and delete the old accts. Do you have front page extensions installed too? If you do and permissions aren't set up properly, that's an easy target, check with your web host on how you can get this fixed.
