OK this might be a little off but I hate the idea of people pirating the ubb and then coming here to add really cool hacks to their board !!
I think that the privilege of being a registered user is to be able to hack the code as much as he wants.
what I am getting to is isn't there a way to stop non license holders to access the hack database ?
just my 2 cents ...
*goes away grumbling in his beard ...*

Ahem yes but how would you prove they dont have a licence? Put a "are you a pirate?" tickbox in their profile maybe? Thats gonna work....
Signatures suck. Thats why I dont have one.

Yeah but that would require something like a 24/7 database access linkup to the infopop server, not mentioning the potential security risks such a thing would create. You'd have to essentially integrate this site with infopop to make that work and then where would ubbdevs independance go?
A worthy idea, but not really practical.
Of course I can almost guarantee someone is gonna tell me im wrong now....

I think you'd be surprised at the number that would... intelligence isn't among their strongest characteristics.

It's there... now they have to know their shoe size before they can pass... Eventually we'll work up to something more stringent.

What about what version of UBB do you use then just block people that aren't using up-to-date versions or how about a check box that say "If you are a stupid and cheap MOFO that got your UBB for free just check here"

My friend told me that if he never got a chance. He won't be owner of ubb. He thought ubb is ugly at first till he found this page. If he was blocked. he won't buy ubb.

How about this IQ test ? Funniest one I have seen on the web. Try it.
