Hey, welcome.. I apparently, whilst not being staff, am part of the furniture here, said item of furniture being either (a) a sexy chaise lounge or (b) an old gray sofa.

*kicks cal*..

I don't stop by that forum often, I prefer to try and keep my insanity confined to just a few places..

Hey, whats up? Let me tell you some more stories about myself, and how I got a UBB and how I became obsessed with it.

Summer of 2000: In the summer of 2000, I had been going to gameshark.com regularly, and noticed their great message board. I always wondered how they made such a great thing, but never figured out what it was, or how they made it(I was oblivious to UBB at that time). Once day I was reading around on the Savior forum and noticed a post about some kind of ezboard thing, so I thought to myself hey, why don't I go check that out. So I did. I read that post and I saw a link in someones signature, so I clicked it. Yes, there was a good looking site. An EZboard(lol). I loved the idea of me having my own ezboard, and since it looked so much like UBB at the time I thought that is what gameshark.com had. So I signed up and got my very own EZboard. My EZboard did pretty well that summer, but it was not good enough for me. I had about 70 or so members, who posted pretty frequently. But that is a different story. I was getting kind of bored of my good old ezboard by this time, since I had already mastered all the things it had to offer. So, I went started going back to gameshark.com. Then one day I saw a post by someguyzero I think it was, and it was about "Post your site links", so of course I went there and read the post. Then in Someguys post I noticed he had a link to some site called H-Realms, me wondering what "H-Realms" was clicked the link and leaded me to a glorious site. A site that I had never seen before. I started going there pretty regularly, and soon I learned that H-Realms was running a "UBB" on their site. I still did not know what that was, or what it did, but I wanted it so bad. I went to H-Realms the rest of that summer, and I still go there as of now.

My Learning of UBB: After going to H-Realms for a while and seeing a post about where Ghard(MasterMind) got his UBB I decided that I would go and purchase one. So I went and I purchased a UBB. It was a little confusing at first, but I got used to it. I was hoping around on hypermart.net for a while after getting my site closed down several times, for no reason I was fed up! I decided to ask for a domain name and server space for my birthday. smile So I did and my parents where a little tense about me having a true web site at first, but they gave in. I then made a purchase on the domain name gamerzparadize.com. How I got that name, no one knows, not even me. smile It was not long after I purchased my site and UBB when I started to visit ubbhackers.com and getting "hacks". I became obsessed with putting hacks on my board. It was so fun! This may sound stupid, but I spent countless hours putting hacks into my UBB. laugh Then after going to H-Realms for a long time I finally got MasterMinds screen name and began talking to him, and bonding with him. Since then, I have always looked to MasterMind for advice, or help with my UBB.

The Launching of My Site: After A couple of weeks of my purchase of my domain name and server space, I launched my site. It was doing great, it had a really crappy layout at first. I mean really crappy. But I pursued for my site to have greatness. After a couple of months my site was booming, or at least I thought it was. It had atleast 200 members in 2 months. After me and members getting fed up with that crappy layout, I decided to make a new one. Well that new one did not last long either, but now I have one that will last for an eternity.

Closing: Well that is pretty much how I found out about UBB. Oh ya I forgot to tell you how I found UBBDEV. Well, around September of 2000 I heard of a site called UBBdev from a friend of mine. I decided to give it a visit, and I was blown away! I was thrilled to find an active community of people who shared the same interests as I did, so I decided to stay. Then I did not post much, if at all. But now I do and now I am here to stay. Well that is pretty much it.

If you have any questions about me please ask. I will be happy to answer them. hehe I can not believe I just typed all that. tipsy

Hey! Welcome laugh
Pull up a chair and make yourself comfie... wink

UBB is pretty darn cool. I first found out about UBB in late 99 at a site called virtualkid.com (which, in itself, does not exist anymore) and got interested after that. VirtualKid changed its name to GovTeen in June or so of 2000 and in late 2000 started using 'ForuMAX' which is kinda neat, but really crappy as far as large scale website go... anyway, Ill stop rambling now laugh

Hey @ragorn nice to meet you.
Well, I guess I will give you some more insight on my future plans with UBB, I am currently spending alot of time at my desk studying perl books that I have purchased. Hoping one day to master Perl, and maybe write up my own board. smile I am at the stage right now where I can understand what something says, but I can not write scripts too well, I have started on a couple of my own UBB hacks, like news fader. Then Slurpee released it, so I thought I better just leave it alone. Trust me you will be seeing a lot of me in the next few months, and maybe even years if everything turns out good for UBB Dev.
