I think I just heard right, but is not going to be anymore World Championship Wrestling! Tonights Monday Night Nitro is the last once, so be sure to watch it on TNT. The reason there is not going to be anymore, is because the owner of WWF(Vince Macmahn) bought them out.

Ive never personally understood why grown men (and women!) in their undies get up there in front of millions of people and knock each other silly with chairs and other large objects just for the fun of it. I'd rather catch an I Love Lucy rerun on Nick@Nite...
Keep smilin

Cross over wreatling is most likely a good possibility. Haven't read the press release on WWF.com Hey it's entertainment, even Vinnie mMac himself said so

Cause it paid good. What I never understood was why enough people watch it to make it pay good.
Picture perfect penmanship here.

dont forget ecw!
i liked wcw. mainly cuz my favorites, like hogan and macho man, became wcw'ers. vinnie mac buying out wcw is great for him (less / no competition) but bad for the wrestling bidniz (same reason).
competition is what brought wrestling back to popularity in the early 90s. this interpromotional run might be hot for awhile, but... it'll die down ICE cold.
btw, if any of you guys are really interested, i have a lot of wrestling information like this on my forums (unselfish plug and link below :)). i have a wrestling folder on my forum, where i update with the latest news and rumors from various sites (had this story penned a few days ago). plus, you can leave your own thougths and comments, toos. just figured i'd mention it!

I hope Goldberg at least gets to cross over and wrestle with some of the WWF stars..
Although I'm not into wrestling as much as I used to be, haven't watched it in ages..
In fact I don't think I've really watched it seriously since I went to Survivor series in 99..

Yeahhhhhhh right..
Can you imagine if we did run this place like the WWF? All that made up scandal and switching ownership every 5 minutes, people getting run over with cars etc.. highly amusing

yes shane owns wcw not vince
the only reson its leave tnt is because ted turner owns it and did own wcw but not any more so it will go to a diffrent channel
like wwf did when it left usa and went to tnn and mtv

It appears that Shane O' Mac pulled a fast one on his father Vince, and bought WCW under his nose. Maybe shane will run WCW now, but I have no idea what station he is going to do this on.

My guess is that it's all just another publicity thing, and that it's the corporation that owns both WWF and WCW..

Umm shane doesn't own wcw, it is just for the storyline. Do you really think Vince is that stupid come on now. It's to hype up wrestlemania even more and to generate some more interest in the new wcw when it finds a station to be broadcasted on.
