Hello,

I need a logo that just kicks for the left hand side of my Forums, Here: GimmeTech .

What I have done so far just looks terrible to me so I removed it. I need either a GimmeTech Forums or a GT Forums logo that would fit to the left and somehow counter balance with the right hand side of my banner spot. Maybe even a design with a computer or something. Any help would be appreciated. If you are an artist and interested, please post the logo here if you would like or email me that you have one. I am looking for something professional and I have seen some of the work you guys toss around in here. If compensation is a necessity please email me at the below email. DCF this might be something you could help me with.

I actually have been playing around with an idea in Photoshop for awhile just for kicks and giggles, and I think it might go really good with a site like yours. Whenever I get home tonight I'll see if I can throw something together for ya.

This is a fine piece of art work, however this isn't what I was talking of. Take another look at my link here: GTForums

See the no spam? I need a grand logo on the left hand side of the banner. I'm not planning on replacing my header graphic although after looking at your work makes me wonder why I don't!

If I had something say about the height of the banner and oh I guess the size of the nospam pic or a little bigger. (Which by the way could be taken out for a good logo I would put on both sides.

Note: I would prefer my logo have a white background so to speak. Round, square, a computer with GimmeTech or what have ya...

I am going to eat a quick dinner and I'll be in here for the rest of the evening.

Let's see what happens.

OK, so I still don't quite understand. I understand the place where you want it to go now, but not what it's supposed to be. Are you talking about a little "icon" type thing? Just a general button that can immediately be associated with your site or something? I'm kinda confused...

GimmeTech, I thought we were talking about the way upper left black area, no? Pfff, I'm out. Sorry, but I had something really cool planned for the black background, as did Skorp.

You should give us a screen shot and draw a circle on it showing what you need next time.

Ok, Now that was a fast dinner.

Take a look at my banner. Just to the left a logo maybe something the size of the UGO logo. To the right of the banner is the nospam pic. So the new logo will go in the white blank space to the left of the advertisment banner. This will not be a huge image. Just a very good quality one.

Remember now, this is just a forums logo type thing. Maybe something on a white background round is ok, height of a banner. Something maybe like the UGO logo, but with maybe a puter or something....

I may even remove the nospam and put the forums logo on both sides of the advertisement banner.

Actually I like that. I think it would be better though if it had just the GT with Forums going across it without the gimme above and the tech below. Could you do that and post?

Oh ya,

I love it. That looks good. Now I have an idea, what do you think about this: I would like to have 3 seperate small images in that bold blue swish font look.

1)Contact Us
2)Privacy Statement
3)www.GimmeTech.com (cap. G cap. T)

These 3 images will be links on the right of the banner. They would need to be the equivilant of the logo height and width so they would match. Right now I put the logo on each side of the banner. But the right one needs to go, so, I thought about these 3 link images to match the logo and I'll use them down below also.

How much do you need for this? I'll copy it for now. Let me know what I owe ya for the work.

And last but not least, can I have the .UFO or .PSD file that was created?

Good grief Skorpion! that header rocks!

GimmeTech, glad you like it.

I can *try* to make you some small images. But the font I used is called (appropriately) "Big." It doesn't look very good when it gets small. I will see what I can do, but I might have to use a different font or something. I have a couple other grunge-ish type fonts that I can try, if all else fails.

Yes please try the big font if you would. I would like to have some sort of a matching look up top to the right and left of my banner. I'll be back in here later on this evening CST.

Just letting you know I was here. I will be checking here periodically.

I can't do it with the Big font. In order to get it small enough width-wise to even fit on a normal page along with the two banners you've already got, the font has to be like a size 5 or 6, and it's pretty illegible.

I can try it with some other grunge fonts, if you want.

Hi Scorp,

I have 2 of your logos on my page right now. The right one will be removed. I was trying to get something on the other side (right) of the banner area to match so to speak the great logo you created for me. So the right logo will be gone. If this cannot be done in the right square table (just as the logo sets in the left) then I'm not sure what to do. I really do need something on the right of the banner though that would somehow match the new logo. If you think you can match the logo, give it a shot. I appreciate you being kind enough to help me with this.

Finally got around to uploading these. Had some FTP problems last night or I would have got them up here sooner. Anyway, here ya go. It is a somewhat close match to the original font, but it's a lot narrower so the image doesn't have to be huge and screw up small resolutions. Hope you like.

Sorry it took me so long to get back in here. Spent the night installing 6.02 and the hacks.

I am going to try these to see what they look like on the page. The only other thing I could think of that might look better would be for WWW.GimmeTech.Com to be "Exit" or "Home" or what have you and maybe Privacy Statement to be just "Your Privacy".


I will give these a shot and see what they look like.

Couldn't get those to work for me Skorp. I guess this thread has come to a close. I appreciate your graphic expertise and do appreciate it. Post here or email me if payment is needed for the graphic. Oh It's not that they didn't work. It's that they didn't look right. The logo is great though. You did a fantastic job on it. Someone asked me who did it in mirc the other night and I mentioned Scorpion @ the Dev. He really liked it also.
