Ok I downloaded it and can only see one real differance they added a personal list to the explorer bar which is pretty cool cause it lets you get the weather in your area real quick and it has the media player in it but that is about it.
Does anyone else know what other little feature it has I think it came with the Win XP beta smile

There are some other lil things I noticed, such as the way it handles images now.. try opening an image that's bigger than your window for example, a lil icon comes up where you can switch between full size, and zoomed to fit your window

I also noticed it searches sites for their privacy statements. It shows a little image at the bottom if it can't find it. Sometimes it shows the image even if the privacy page link is on the page. ((shrug))

IE 6 also has a toolbar that pops up in the upper left corner of larger images. It has quick links to: save, print, e-mail pic & My Pictures folder.

Oooooooh. laugh

lol had to drop me resolution down but yeah i saw it. It pops up on your desktop too but if you go to hover over it it disappears but if you sit there for a second it comes back I think that they could have left it out. That and down at the bottom of the IE window next to the progress bar it says that UBBDev is missing it's privacy policy werid

Yeah the IE6 in the Windows Update is still a beta version but it's most likely how IE will turn out to be. There are "hidden" new features dealing with HTML compatibility.

Great to see you here V69 smile

When I tried the public release, I felt it was kinda weak, IE6 has a new render engine and I personally don't think its being used at the best level with the public version.

I'm currently running the MSDN release and its much much faster, so I guess its good things in the furture for IE laugh

I found something out in the wee hours this morning if you go and uninstall IE6.0 it also uninstalls Outlook Express 6.0 you think no problem I can deal with that but when it uninstalls outlook it also gets rid of a very important .DLL file that you need to open outlook with so that means you have to go redownload IE6.0 or download outlook again and reset all of your setting smile

I haven't uninstalled IE6 beta but probably will when final comes out as I won't want to install over beta.
Did you try just copying that DLL from another PC? with same version of Outlook or there is more to the problem then just one DLL?
