**this is a rough estimate** Clean UBB Install :: ~1.15 MB (if you use any custom graphics this figure will most likely be a small bit higher) Average post*: *guess* 1-2kb *A post is NOT thread, I am talking abotu each individual post. At the time of this post there were 64052 posts on this board ( https://www.ubbdev.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi) So, using my figures this UBB takes up, in my estimates, roughly 97078 kilobytes (including the actual UBB Files) RobbieB's estimate on the amount of space this forum ( https://www.ubbdev.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi) takes up on the UBBDev server is: [*]~97 Megabytes I would be interested to see how close my figures are if any admin would like to comment on them ps. I won't even bother trying to calculate Infopops board [ June 09, 2001 09:06 AM: Message edited by: RobbieB ]

My board (linked below) has ~102,000 posts.
The post data alone takes up ~65 megs on the disk. This does not count the cache files, the search indexes, or the member files.

The Infopop board usually takes up about 190~ megs, including cache, search files, Member files, etc.
Picture perfect penmanship here.

Dont flatter yourself Boss_Hugo .. your board wont be as big as UBBDev's for some time, and possibly never as big as the Infopop support forums.

Hostboard is probably the largest and most modified board ever. most people's mileage will vary .... substantially lower.

Our whole site prolly takes up ~450mb including all the graphics in the database, every little file, etc, and squeezes into a ~235mb backup file.

I was counting the whole ubbdev folder, the whole site, not just the main forums... tho due to firewall problems here at work I haven't been on the server in a while and am relying on a hazy memory ...

As a regular lurker of one of the forums (recently returned) on Hostboard I can't wait. Yup, that's right, I'm a lurker. I read the @guard forum ocasionally though I have never had a reason to register or post there.
