I am very proud to say that this past month we have received the most traffic that we've ever received in our short history! Unfortunately, Allen and I are still discussing the exact numbers so we can't make those public yet.

Thank you for making UBB Developers Network the ever-expanding and vibrant community that we all hoped it would be. I hope that by this time next year, we can start getting some attention from the mainstream media at large.

In terms of mainstream media, I'd guess that possibly www.wired.com might be interested in doing a story on you guys.. worth contacting them and finding out anyway..

I've contacted WIRED in the past and I would love to sit down with them (and Allen) and talk. However, as much as it pains me to say this, I don't think we're "big enough" to get their attention ... yet.

As I've said before, despite all appearances to the contrary, I'm not only a psychopathic freak..

no promises, but I'll have a lil think.. I should probably get around to writing that article for webreference that I was supposed to.. maybe I'll stick a link to ubbdev in there, provided they publish it..

Now that I think about it, you could probably get an article on webreference.com yourselves, they accept outside articles for both their site and their newsletter, and ubbdev/ubbs/message board comparisons could be a good article. If you like, I can write something up that you can send to them, I have a pretty good idea of the kind of stuff that goes in, and every article published gets the authors link of choice.. They get around 50,000 hits a day to the main site, and the newsletter is pretty big too..
