Remember BBS'es from back in the day? I am soon going to be releasing a game that i have been programing in my spare time for the past 4 years. I am gonna need some people to test it out, as it is a pretty involved game. Would anyone be willing to host it?

Currently it is about 6-7MB zipped but there are going to be some bug fixes, optimizations, and additions this weekend. I would like to release a beta this monday possibly sooner depending on how much time i will get to put into it today smile

If you would like some more info

e-mail me [email protected]

Peace

I run a BBS now..... smile

Telnet to: bbs.multihack.com

It's been up for about a month or so, 10 nodes setup. Mostly just a few friends and me are on it, I love online games and that is why the board was put up. I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Troy: It is not an online game at in it's present state..

The game is called Smoke It. It's like a mix between LORD & Drugwars.

In the game you lead the life of a stoner/hippy and your goal is to attain a 100% body buzz in 10 different cities.

By the end of the week I will release a beta version of it. I didn't have time to code this weekend frown As my girlfriends mom went outta town and I was over there all weekend smile

If you would like to help beta test or help with some ideas just shoot me an e-mail.

Thanks all,

Your gonna laugh but QuickBasic. It is probably going to be the largest game ever programed in that language smile

I couldn't even begin to tell you how many lines of code are in it.

I wrote a door writing library for QB about 10 years ago. Was called Portal. Never released it but to a few people though, I didn't wanna support it. heh It was 8000 lines of code though.

the game runs fine on my 1Ghz machine

I haven't tested it on Windows XP yet, but I think it should work.. I am eventually gonna port it to Visual Basic when I get time.
