i did. that's my problem.

i've been all through infopop forums and can't find any special instructions.

if you can't use the upgrade button, then why is it in the public instructions? and on the main post of the instructions at infopop.

i swear i feel like a big dummy because everyone seems to be able to figure this out.

Open your control panel and click on each setting, then click the submit button at the bottom. If you need to add or edit something it will tell you. Once you have checked them all, you should be okay.

Sorry to make JC look bad.. frown

Click the upgrade button! That will add all the missing Wordlets™. Then run the update member post history, then rebuild the forum stat files. Then go through the rest of the control panel.

I had to leave last night and couldn't hang around. smile

Workin at the hospital today, I'll check post times here for the release and announcement time at IP later tonight wink

For those who have installed modifications with extra profile fields (calendar in particular), you'll probably need to increase the maxmemfields in ubb_lib_files.cgi to 55 until either the calendar is updated or a script is made to strip the extra profile fields.

We'll update tonight as well, unless another admin wants to do it today.

And for those who installed the Last Post in Profile mod, you are in big trouble tipsy

Now 6.1 is using $user_profile[31] for the custom title.

MY fault JC and I feel terrible. frown

For those that added extra fields a field stripper script will soon be in the member's area. One for 5 to 6.x, one for 6.0.x to 6.1.x. maybe Monday.

Yes, there is. Or was. Is it still there? But is it YOUR(meaning UBBDev's) script. Or whoever wrote it. I forget now, sorry! frown I wrote one for us to use in the support department a long time ago. Just never was comfortable enough to put it out until it had been used a bit. It will still be labled beta, as are the rebuildmems scripts. We have a lot of scriptlets that we use in support that we want to put into the members area once we feel comfortable enough with them being out there. Charles wrote a neat one that imports custom forum styles that will eventually be added but he is still tinkering on it. He is not yet comfortable with it being released.

Besides, there are still some people that don't come here. eek

I wrote one and copycat made one too. I'm working on a cache crawling utility, that generates the cache automatically. Way to unstable.

If anyone doesnt want to wait for the script email me, [email protected]

Hey nav, are you guys working on a cache building utility? Because if you are, i'll stop. wink

I'm also working on a SQL -> Transferance, but that is WAY not ready...

edit: and you need a vB -> UBB™ converter.

And > gets converted to HTML & codes...

cache building... Charles started one at one point but with 6.1.0 this may no longer be an issue. Also cache builders are ..... no.. can be ..... just as rough. He never finished his. Before you spend more time on yours watch to see if there is still a need after 6.1.0 gets to more folks. Hate to see you waste time.

VB to UBB converter? Maybe. Some people have expressed a need. We'll see if time permits. At one time we had one that was custom written for someone but not polished, needed command line and was not ready for prime time. It has since been lost/forgotten/deleted and was for an early VB. Probably the table data structure has changed since then and it would need to be rewritten scratch. Time is an issue with that. With 6.1.0 in public beta and 6.2.0 on deck time is something we don't have a lot of. frown
